SNP plans for the most expensive St. Andrew’s Day celebrations in Scotland, on 30th November, have nothing to do with the planned announcement of the independence referendum, according to party sources.
In a time of austerity Scotland’s Culture Minister claimed, there was no “sinister agenda” behind the SNP government’s plans for Scotland’s biggest ever St Andrew’s Day party on the day it launches its referendum white paper.
It seems strange that even SNP members think that voters are really that gullible.
The next twelve months will be an unsubtle attempt to make voters in Scotland feel antagonism towards the Union and feel all their political, financial and historic problems can be solved by a vote for independence.
The SNP’s St. Andrew’s Day ‘celebrations’ should be seen as the opening gambit in a very pointless game of constitutional chess.
